Tabor Academy — known as the “School by the Sea” — integrates its waterfront location directly into student life and academics. Situated on Buzzards Bay in Marion, the school uses the ocean as a living classroom, blending traditional coursework with experiential learning. Students participate in hands-on programs such as sailing, marine and nautical science, ceramics, and astronomy through the Edmunds Observatory, giving them opportunities to explore both creative and scientific disciplines beyond the standard curriculum.
