You should ideally start planning about 10 to 12 months in advance. However, we will also find the perfect match for your child closer to the date.

Starting off early will allow you to choose from a bigger selection of schools and will give you more time to complete the application process. The school year usually starts in August or September. You can stay for either one term, an entire or even several years until graduation.

A boarding school provides you with a structured international environment that fosters academic and personal growth. A host family is the right fit for students who would like to become immersed in the culture and family life of a different country.

If you as parents care about flexibility, cultural diversity, innovation and access to an education system that helps your child develop future skills, then a boarding school in North America might be the better fit for you. British boarding schools provide an excellent education but tend to be a little more traditional.

There’s a plethora of boarding schools with individual profiles in the US. Typically, they place a strong focus on extracurricular activities and sport a strong sense of school spirit.

Canadian boarding schools provide an excellent education – a safe, diverse and open-minded place to study in. Life at Canadian boarding schools tends to be more personal and calmer, while boarding schools in the US are bigger and more competitive. Either way – you will be well-prepared for your time at university. The main difference mostly boils down to preference.
